Our latest tune:

This car had DC headers with a collector way too small, an air filter and test pipe.
Its a fun car to drive. We tuned the ignition so that you can give it full throttle at 1000 rpm in 5th without detonation.
We could have made over 260, but due to the weak stock pistons, the ignition was not fully advanced for power, which keeps the cylinder pressures down.
550 injectors
Stock Fuel pressure.
Hondata heatshield intake gasket.
Hondata stage 2b
This could also have run with the stock pump, which we have tested to an easy 300 wheel HP at the stock fuel pressure.
This was mainly tuned with a wideband on the streets of LA. No fuel changes were necessary on the dyno.
This tune will be available next week for those interested. Detailed tuning notes available from:

very impressive... which pulley is that with!?!? the stock "6 psi" pulley? i notice it says "10psi" on the tune page; is that just the usual higher-than-it-should-be boost indication on a jrsc h22?

Doug, I am really glad you posted this plot to the forum. I own exactly the same car you tuned on this run, and I am planning to buy a Hondata 2B when I go FI in the future. I have a few questions about your tuning session:
You mention on your site that the 550 cc injectors were running 80% duty at peak. Do you think this is motivation enough to go one size larger, or is 80% acceptable?
I was disappointed by the 255 HP number at first, but that probably means making close to 300 HP at the crank, so that is probably pretty decent.
Another thing that really annoys me is your comment about the thin ring lands on the stock pistons. Fixing this means I have to tear down the engine, which is a lot further than I thought I would have to go to do FI . Oh well.
Thanks again for the great post.

my experience is probably not typical, but i blew *all* my ringlands on a jrsc h22 in less than a year. big injectors and a proper ecu from the get-go might have prevented this, but i'm not sure....

550 injectors are fine. Fuel pressure can always be rated from 40-50 psi if necessary - and you can still keep the stock fuel pump - as it is good for an easy 300 wheel HP at these pressures.
